Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Wick
Before melting the wax, wipe the inside of the containers with a paper towel and use wick stickers to secure the wick to the bottom of the container.
2. Weigh and Heat the Soy Wax
Measure out 130 grams of Ecosoya CB-Advanced soy wax and heat it until fully melted. (Approximately 130 grams of soy wax is needed for each 7-ounce container candle. To make four candles, weigh about 520 grams.)
3. Mix the Fragrance
Once the wax is completely melted and reaches about 70°C, add 13 grams of the red rose fragrance oil and mix well. (To make four candles, mix approximately 52 grams of fragrance oil.)
4. Pour the Wax
Use a heat gun to warm the inside of the candle container slightly. Then, pour the wax mixed with fragrance into the container.
Tip: Secure the wick in place before pouring to keep it centered.
5. Weigh and Melt the Beeswax
Measure 20 grams of white natural refined beeswax and place it in a stainless steel cup. Melt it until it reaches 90°C. (You will need about 20 grams of beeswax for each carnation. To make four flowers, melt a total of 80 grams.)
6. Add Color to the Beeswax
When the beeswax reaches 90°C, add red dye chips to color the wax. You can create a light pink by adding a small amount of dye or a deep red by adding more. Consider the desired shade and measure accordingly.
7. Mix the Fragrance with Beeswax
Once the colored beeswax reaches 85-90°C, add 2 grams of the red rose fragrance oil. (The maximum fragrance load is 10%. For one carnation, mix 2 grams, and for four, mix 8 grams.)
8. Pour the Beeswax into the Molds
Use a heat gun to slightly warm the silicone molds. When the temperature of the beeswax and fragrance mixture is around 80-85°C, pour it into the molds.
9. Create Wick Holes
When the surface of the carnation molds has hardened enough, use the back of a bamboo skewer to make a wick hole. Slightly twist the skewer to prevent it from sticking to the wax and to widen the hole for the wick.
10. Demold the Candles
Allow the wax to cool completely before gently removing the candles from the molds.
11. Assemble the Carnation Candles
Using a heat gun, gently and evenly melt the surface of the candles. Then, insert the pre-made carnation candle into the wick hole, ensuring it is centered.
12. Apply Labels
Cut out the section of transfer paper you will use, peel off the transparent film, and place it on the surface of the container candle so that the back of the transfer paper is visible in the desired position. Lightly mist the back of the transfer paper with water using the spray bottle. After about a minute, gently slide the paper up and down to lift it off.
13. Packaging the Candles
Place the two candles, topped with golden metal lids, into a 7 oz black hard box for packaging.
14. Tie with Ribbon
Use diagonal or crisscross ribbon to decorate the gift set.
Creating these beautiful carnation candles is a thoughtful way to show appreciation and love. They are perfect for special occasions and will surely be cherished by anyone who receives them. Enjoy the process and the delightful scents that fill your space!
